Overall Responsibilities:Lead initiatives for development of methodologies for measurement of Collection Portfolio Management and associated models/ processesEnsure timely and accurate delivery of Collection reports. Interpret the information and suggest actions for consideration by Senior ManagementAssist the Head of Collections in carrying out the responsibilities pertaining to AFCL Entities Assist the Head of Collections in enhancement and review of Collection Policies & Standards to ensure that these reflect the best practiceProvide requirements and design inputs, particularly regarding collection recognition, measurement, and its reporting as part of the core team for implementation of key collection risk related projects Key Responsibilities:Monitor the collection process across all AFCL's and provide regular collection updates on appropriate actionsPerform pro-active on-going collection monitoring (due & overdue) and risk management on the client as well as portfolio levels to reduce or prevent bad debt lossesTimely reporting of debtor performance reports, daily and monthly reports to Senior ManagementEnsure timely and accurate reporting of debtor performance reports to Regulators and Rating AgenciesTracks the rate of success of the collection process and ensure actions are taken for improvementIdentify problem accounts, provide regular updates to senior management and take appropriate and timely action for recovery to ensure minimum lossesKnowledge, understanding and compliance with all applicable regulatory and local laws and regulations that regulate the collection industryTrain new employees and hold training reviews for established employeesSupport the Collection Managers to handle difficult debtorsEnsure employees comply with company collection policies and standard operating processes Identify areas of the collection process that need improvement and implements an enhanced process that will help collectors be more effectiveIdentify accounts requiring collection agency or legal action and coordinate actionContribute to system implementation projects in the collection space (e.g. Loan Management System and Collection App) by providing requirements and design inputs, particularly with regard to collection and measurementDesired Profile:Must have detailed knowledge of collections process.
