Job Description
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Proactively initiate, drive, and complete needed local activities and travel to ensure supply chain objectives are met in due time and with the required quality level.
Purchasing and Expediting:
Create purchase orders for current and forecasted demand
Follow-up with vendors to ensure purchase orders have correct price, freight charge, and delivery date
Coordinate QA inspection of purchased parts and services as required
Ensure the quality of purchased parts and look to source new vendors
Coordinate with vendors in the event of an issue with quality and complete non-conformance reports
Follow-up with vendors on back-orders and notify operations of impacts to project ship dates
Communicate with vendors when purchase orders are due to be received to ensure they are on track
Monitor work in progress and coordinate, and report to/with Global Supply Chain team
Review vendor invoices with errors and coordinate a quick resolution
Supply Chain Management:
Ongoing demand forecasting
Build and maintain supply redundancy
Stock control:
Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods according to BT standards
Reconcile inventory ensuring all adjustments are processed and reported accurately with weekly reporting to key internal Management stakeholders
Qualifications and Requirements:
A strong desire to be part of a truly international company pioneering new Internet Wi-Fi solutions in rural areas of developing countries in the world
1-2 years of experience in supply chain and/or procurement and financing
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office as well as any industry standard computer programs.
Technical understanding of IT, Telecom and Datacom
Driver license
Fluent in English – verbal and written
