We are seeking a Staff Security Engineer to join our team! Do you want to work at the forefront of cloud security in a company that shares a culture of security? At Rescale, this means you will work on and impact:
Lead security, compliance, and related activities during sales engagements.
Lead security and network deployment discussions including presenting Rescale capabilities and options around security, networking, and cloud usage.
Architect and iterate network integration designs with enterprise customers satisfying their unique requirements and Rescale capabilities, and lead their implementations post-sales.
Generate guides, decks, writings, playbooks, and other external and internal resource documents to help standardize and scale.
Research cloud-native security and networking capabilities and propose paths to integrate with Rescale.
Be the voice of the customer in architectural changes that affect Rescale’s menu of deployment options.
Evaluate external security tools as needed.
What we’re looking for:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience with security or devops.
5+ years of experience with Bash or Python.
Deep experience with a cloud provider such as AWS or Azure.
Extensive experience with secure design and secure deployment within a cloud provider (AWS/Azure)Solid understanding of operating systems or networks.
Experience with multiple areas of: network and web firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, endpoint security, PKI.
Preferred: deep understanding of distributed/concurrent/multicore computing, cloud architectures, virtualization technologies, scalable databases, fault tolerant computing.
