Job Description
Develops application solutions to meet the business needs
Define physical program units and data structures based on the logical model to
satisfy the requirements of the application
Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users;
studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating
problem areas; following the software development lifecycle
Adapting the program to new requirements, as necessary
Updating, repairing, modifying and developing existing software and generic
applications
Conducting user acceptance testing to ensure the program can be used easily, quickly
and accurately
Consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop
programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge
Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users and
computer operators
Evaluating and increasing the program's effectiveness
Reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary
