School Nurse

Responsibilities:Provide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illnessDevelop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilitiesEducate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygiene Detect health problems in early stages through regular screeningsKeep track of students' vaccination recordsUpdate students' medical history Ensure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)Write referrals for pediatricians and other health specialistsEnsure compliance with national and local health lawsSkills and QualificationBachelors Degree in Nursing.Work experience in a pediatric section of a hospital/ a children's hospital is an added advantage.A valid national certification.
