Procurement / Purchasing Officer / Supply Officer

Barminco is one of the world's largest hard-rock underground mining service providers with over three decades of experience. As part of the Perenti Group, Barminco employs over 4, people, at 24 projects in seven countries. Due to the continued growth in our operations we are looking for an experienced Procurement / Purchasing Officer / Supply Coordinator to join our team in Botswana, Africa.Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the purchasing and logistics functions on site, as well as required to control the receiving and storage of materials on site. This includes loading, unloading and receipting inbound and outbound freight To maintain all relevant documentation, manifests and stock registers To ensure a high standard of housekeeping is upheld in the store and laydown area Key requirements: We are looking for someone who has experience in a similar procurement role within the underground mining industry You must have 3-5 years supervisory experience of managing a team of 6-10 employees A valid forklift ticket is highly desirable It is essential that you be proficient with MS Office programs and be a confident user of ERP software (Pronto, Eclipse, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) A proactive attitude toward safety is imperative MUST be degree qualified or higher in Procurement or in Supply Chain Management What we can offer: An exciting career opportunity to join a company continuing in a phase of growth internationally A permanent full-time role with the potential for career progression for the successful candidate A culture where new ideas and results are supported and rewarded At Barminco, our people are our businessIt's the people we retain who define our culture, shape our company and drive the growth of our business.
