Cloud Platform Department in Rakuten Group offers a wide range of services and products to Rakuten Group Services through our a cloud platform including but not limited to IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Cloud Storage, CI & CD Pipelines, Image Delivery, Network as a Service. As a Network Devops Engineer you cannot only choose to work on one of the wide arrays of products, services and in-house tools but will also have the opportunity to introduce or propose a new tool and architecture.
We are seeking talented Network Devops Engineers well-versed in infrastructure of large complex systems/clusters/networks built by automated solutions to provide huge compute capabilities. You will be involved with transforming and operating the networking and cloud components for a global private cloud, which is houses all Rakuten Group’s core applications.

Position Details
-Design and deploy automated networking solutions
-Design and deploy a fully-automated networking cloud
-Verify and introduce new open source solutions to improve functionality and performance
-Monitor, Troubleshoot and maintain critical production environments
-Collaborate with other developers
Mandatory Qualifications:
-DevOps Engineering experience with technical background in networks
-Strong Linux/Unix system administrator skills
-Intermediateprogramming/scriptingskills, and will consider experience in other object
-Oriented and functional languages
-Understanding of server/network virtualization and/or public cloud network
-Experience with and working knowledge of IP networking systems and protocols
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Cumulus Linux
-Experience with Linux as a Network Operation System
-Operational experience with whiteboxswitches
-Experience with container solution and tools (i.e. LXC, Docker, K8's, Mesos)
-Experience with automation tools -ex) Chef/Puppet/Ansible/Salt stack/terraform etc.
-Experience with CI/CD tools –ex) Jenkins/CircleCI
