Job Description
Our client located in Accra is looking to add a Financial Analyst to their growing team.
Specific Job Duties
Analyze financial data, spot trends, and develop forecasts for budgeting purposes.
Gather, analyze, and make financial recommendations to improve financial status.
Assist in the budget and re-forecast process.
Maintain budget and re-forecast information in the accounting and budgeting systems.
Track income and expenses vs. budget and analyze fluctuations.
Prepare, review, and distribute monthly financial reports to management.
Manage Asset/Liability Management (ALM) model review including data extraction and data validation, and prepare quarterly ALM package for management review.
Responsible for profitability modeling by providing data to generate member, product, and channel profitability.
Work on ad-hoc reports, projects, and/or analysis
Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the financial services arena.
Perform sales forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
Create KPI documents and management level sales documents weekly
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
Track sales performance as it relates to financial goals
Analyze past results and recognize trends in retailer or categories
Job Knowledge/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with experience in financial services industry.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in reporting and financial analysis.
Strong analytical and data organization/interpretation skills.
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office.
Ability to multi-task, to work under pressure, and to meet deadlines.
Excellent in verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.
Advanced working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
High proficiency with financial modeling and technique
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint software.
Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions – offset, indirect and if statements, Power Pivot and PowerQuery
Knowledge of data management, SQL, business intelligence platforms, Izenda, PowerBI
Strong analytical and data gathering skills
