Electricals/Instrumentation Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be in charge of building and installing electrical/water systems at new water stations, as well as maintain and repair old electrical systems, at the required standard to minimize breakdowns and improve standards of installation.

Reports directly to Head of Operations.

Job Description/Requirements
Principal Accountabilities
Conducts preventive condition-based and breakdown maintenance on all equipment to minimize breakdowns
Updates and assists in upgrade of electrical installations
Troubleshoots and rectifies breakdowns at minimum times to improve plant efficiency
Maintain a good housekeeping around all electrical installation during site visits
Ensure Quality, Environmental & Occupational Safety and Health (QEOSH) compliance on site
Any other duties that may be assigned from time
to time by the Head of Operations

Qualification
B.Sc. Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 5 years’ experience in a similar role
OR
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent with 8 years’ experience in a similar role

Competencies
Must be detail and team oriented
Knowledge of PLCs and variable frequency drives
Basic knowledge in electrical installation
Ability to read technical drawings
Ability to work under deadlines
Ability to work for long hours and react quickly to
emergencies
Ability to communicate well and write good reports
