Accountant

Responsibilities:Financial Record Keeping:Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounting systems.Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.Financial Reporting:Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Generate reports for management to aid in decision-making.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.Payroll Processing:Oversee payroll processing, including calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes. Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages to employees in compliance with labor laws and company policies.Tax Compliance:Ensure compliance with filing and payment of VAT and other tax leviesPrepare payroll and file PAYE returns and SSNIT in a timely manner.Audit Support:Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.Financial Analysis:Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Make recommendations for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.Reconciliation:Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and other financial discrepancies.Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Compliance and Controls:Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.Communication:Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is a plus.Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.Minimum of 4yrs of experience.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.Proficiency in accounting software, QuickBooks, financial management tools, Microsoft Excel etc.Analytical and detail-oriented.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Location:Accra DzorwuluEmployment Type:Full TimeSalary Range:GHC 5000.00
