My client is looking to recruit a highly committed and emotionally resilient Tutor/Teacher for this expanding education centre. The Tutor/Teacher will be responsible for enabling our young people to re-engage with learning, to pursue and succeed.
What you will be doing:
Conducting initial assessments with our young people Create a fun yet relaxed environment that is conducive to learning Plan, deliver and mark according to their bespoke program of study, which will be tailored to their individual’s needs, interest and abilities. Teach lessons on a 1:1/2:1 basis with leaners to deliver a wide range of qualifications including English, Math’s, Personal, Social, Employability, Enterprise and Progression awards at Entry level 1 to Level 2 in various locations (Education Hub, in the community and in our houses based in Hampshire and Dorset) Provide regular progress reports and raise concerns Carrying out administrative duties and maintain accurate records Attend PEP/EHCP/Professional meetings What we are looking for:
Teaching Qualification, as a minimum – Level 3 Education and Training, PTTLS or HLTA Previous experience of working in the Education Sector, assisting in the planning and organisation of bespoke learning programs. Previous experience of working with vulnerable young people who have behaviour that challenges Knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Experience of applying safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures Excellent computer literacy skills – able to confidentially use Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, outlooks etc) Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent relationship building skills Passionate about making a genuine difference in lives of Young People and staying positive and seeing the best in Young People Able to manage own workload, ensuring priorities and deadlines are met Have good Literacy and Numeracy skills demonstrated by holding a GCSE or equivalent level qualification. Has excellent classroom management skills Someone who can adapt lessons to make them more engaging Full UK Driving license with access to a car and business insurance, you will be required to visit houses throughout Hampshire and Dorset. Fully flexible from Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm office hours
