Purpose
The goal of the Software Engineer is to design, develop, and test software applications for Arkesel. Arkesel is a Communication Platform as a Service Provider based in Accra.
Duties
Verify and deploy programs and systems
Work on various web services & applications including front and back-end development.
Contribute exciting ideas and opinions in applying new and emerging technologies.
Work in the development and evolution of the current web-based systems
Identify, gather and evaluate user feedback
Ensure code is valid, properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, and/or operating systems.
Any other task as assigned by the manager.
Must-Have
A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.Should have a minimum of two (2) years working experience in a similar role.
Familiarity with version control systems
Understanding of MVC design patterns and experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel (essential)
Experience of object-oriented programming / modular programming (essential)
Some knowledge of the Linux command line (desirable, not essential).
