Software Engineer Responsibilities
You will own the front-end development for one or more of our products and collaborate with visual/interaction designers, other engineers, and product managers to launch new products, iterate on existing features, and build a world-class user experience
Your specific expertise will be required to ensure our users have an amazing user experience, that the site is delightful, secure, and accessible to all our members
You will implement cutting-edge technologies and will be writing state-of-the-art code to keep Agbora at the cutting edge of current technology
Work closely with our product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for iOS and Android
Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest iOS and Android programming techniques
Build reusable iOS and Android software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms
Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance
Verify results and apply appropriate tools to fix validation errors
Software Engineer Minimum Qualification
BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or other related engineering field
Passion for current trends and best practices in frontend architecture, including performance, accessibility and usability
2+ years experience in coding & scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, PHP, C++ or Java & API integration
2+ years experience with object-oriented software development experience
3+ years experience with Swift and Kotlin development
4+ years experience building Android and iOS applications in Java
2+ years experience building complex applications for the iPhone or iPad using Objective-C/C++/Swift with the iOS SDK and other frameworks
2+ years experience building Android applications in Java using Android SDK
Proven experience translating business requirements into software requirements and explaining the systems design
Proven experience working effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience with algorithms and optimization
Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques
Location
