Job Description
Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning
activities and in imaginative play.
Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities; arrange indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play,
motor-skill activities and safety.
Employing a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, music, games, media etc.) to
promote physical, mental and social development.
Prepare reports on students and activities as required by administration.
Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.
Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities, suggest
ways that they can promote learning and development.
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
Establish clear objectives for all lessons, class activities, and communicate these objectives to pupils.
Supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments for teaching assistants.
