Key Responsibility Areas
Job Role and Key Responsibilities
• Support HW and SW management of EMS and OSS
• Daily maintenance and administration of OSS Systems
• Daily health check of the OSS and ensure reliability of the OSS is producing alarms on real time basis.
• Maintenance of application systems and databases
• Perform regular system backups for archiving system & user data
• Collection of 2G/3G Network performance statistics and data
• Provide out of hours on call support on a rotation basis
• Provide over the phone or on site support to OSS/EMS users.
• User security management
• O&M Network Configuration
• Provide support for integrating OSS/EMS into future NMS
• Provide Impact analysis of all WOs/Change Requests/Planned Works related to OSS configuration and performance
• Where appropriate, update, troubleshoot and track to resolution Trouble Tickets relating to faults and performance issues
• Provide support for integration of 2G/3G Network Elements into NMS
• Understanding of Network Operations and Maintenance procedures and processes
• Provide weekly status report to customer on all open issues
• Provide hands on training to customer engineers on all aspects of the OSS/EMS, tools and troubleshooting skills

Manage TTs and Work Order (WO) creation and follow up within SLA; Accurate and Timely Reporting

• Experience in Management systems (Netviewer, HP Openview, Ciscoworks U2000/U2020/NCE SAM Tool, Nagio, CACTI, OPTIMA etc)
• Experience in TMN network architecture, EMS and NMS for 2G and 3G network
• Experience in Network element OSS tools
• Familiar with GSM, 3G and IP protocols
• Knowledge of network performance / configuration parameters and their interpretation and use.
• Network service / performance focused.
• Knowledge about network operation processes and interfaces.

Over 3 years technical expertise of OSS, EMS, NMS platform at HW, SW and functional levels
Familiar with Oracle and shell scripting
Familiar HP UX System administration
Overview and understanding of 2G/3G Network connectivity relating to O&M interfaces
Understanding of SS7 and TCP/IP
Experience in a mobile telecommunication environment
Accuracy and quality in performing routine activities
Computer Literate, Microsoft products: Outlook, Office suite, Internet
Willingness to work flexible hours and 24x7 availability.
