Job Description
Provide leadership for Departmental and Ward Managers in the
facility
Contribute to the organization and management of multi-professional, patient-centred care.
Lead in the preparation of operational policies and plan for nursing and midwifery services in the facility and
advocate for its implementation.
Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of standards, policies and procedures for the delivery of quality nursing care.
Ensure the provision of a safe and therapeutic environment for patient care in the department.
Mentor the professional practice and growth of colleagues
Provide technical advice on nursing and midwifery services in the facility.
Allocate, coordinate, monitor and assess the work of ward/unit managers in the facility.
Contribute to staff planning, distribution of various categories of staff for smooth running of nursing and midwifery
services in the facility.
