POSITION: Finance Manager
JOB PURPOSE:
Managing the finance and administration processes of the company including consolidabon and reporting, preparation of the accounting records as well as preparation of finanoal and management reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Bank balance and cash flow monitoring to ensure that it is adequate to meet future expenditure requirements.
Review petty cash journals for operations.
Collating of the accounting input, adjustments and reconciliations
Preparing and processing standard journals.
Preparing and processing standard intercompany invoices.
Processing of bank charges as well as bank recondliation.
Preparation of sales/debtor's ledger, aging reports and printing of accurate customer
General credit control, daily debt collection and reconciliation of client accounts
Reviewing the TB to ensure all costs have been accounted for in the month.
Maintain an Inventory Control account to review usage in line with production expectations.
Revision and reconciliation of VAT and liaising with local tax advisers/accountants to finalise VAT payments.
Generating financial reports
Running vanance reports and supplying comments supporting key differences and extraordinary items
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of first degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualification. A master's degree will be an added advantage
Must be a Chartered Accountant.
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a similar role
Ability to manage confidential information with a high level of professionalism
Proactive, independent person who is a team player
Good communication and report writing skills
Working knowledge of various accounting software platforms
