Health And Safety Officer - Reputable Manufacturing Company

A reputable manufacturing company located on the Spintex Road, Accra is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person for the position ofHEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER
Duties include but not limited to the following:
Plans and organises eflective safety systems in the Factory
Duly monitoring of health, safety and sanitation situation in the factory
Ensures workers are provided with personal protective equpment and comply with usage
Ensures First Aid Boxes are fully replenished with drugs
Organises regular toolbox tasks and training in all safety activities in conjunction with the HR/Administrative Manager and the Safety Committee

Investigates and write reports on accidents and incidents
Prepare monthly safety and sanitation reports
Supervise the general cleaning team of the Factory and the entire environment to ensure cleanliness at all times
Advices the HR/Administrative Manager as well as the Chief Operating Officer and the General Manager (Operations) on safety and related matters
Coordinates to conduct induction/orientation for new employees
Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering plus a Diploma Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA/NEBOSH) or related qualification in Health and Safety programme with at least 5 years work experience preferably in a manufacturing industry
