Job Description
Accounting and Statutory Reporting:
Lead the team of analysts in maintaining financial records and preparing general ledger accounts and ensuring that the general ledger is maintained for all entities/customers/suppliers and is accurate and up to date at all times
Driving the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring that results are delivered on time and in high quality.
Liaising with external and internal auditors and coordinate the audit process, overseeing the preparation of audit files and providing assistance where necessary
Ensure compliance with the applicable reporting GAAP (IFRS and local GAAP).
Management reporting and performance analysis-
Design and lead the preparation of the company's management reporting packs, ensuring that variances are analyzed and supporting commentary provided to enable informed business decisions.
Company's performance against budget/forecast: Sales, expenses, Loans, depreciation etc
Any deep dive as requested by management to support the business decision.
Understanding, monitoring, and reporting key business and financial drivers
Budget preparation and strategic Planning
Ensuring that the company's budget and forecast align with group strategy and reflect the future performance of the business.
Challenge assumptions used in the budget preparation
Review and challenge assumptions included in the Capex and Opex.
Internal controls and process re-engineering.
Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Constantly investigating improvement of processes
Cash and Working Capital management.
Work closely with the Regional Treasurer to ensure that enough funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
Reviewing large overdue accounts with Divisional Managers working on joint plans to drive collections
Providing visibility of inventory, accounts payable and cash collections performance
Driving a decrease in overdue debtors by analyzing operational drivers and driving process improvement
Tax compliance
Working with the External Tax Consultants to ensure that all tax submissions are done on time to limit losses due to noncompliance or errors.
Leadership and team management.
Ensure that objectives are communicated to the team under management and provide necessary support
Ensure that the team members are motivated and constructive feedback provided to support development.

Technical Competencies
Education/Qualifications:
First Degree in Accounting or Finance related course and above.
Professional qualification such as CIMA/CA/ACCA added advantage
Professional Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in an IT services Provider or IT Supply Chain environment
Must have experience in BOM’s, costing, working capital management and tax

Other skills (languages, IT, other technical knowledge):
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access)
Previous experience in Tally ERP, Odoo, Quickbooks and Sage would be advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Ability to learn quickly
Proficient in English and French (advantage)
Reliable and trustworthy
Spontaneous and good communication skills
Self-starter
Innovative – must think out of the box

Must be willing to share knowledge
