Job Description
Essential Job Duties:
· Ensures that accounting operational objectives are designed and set by recommending strategic plans and reviews to management
· Background in online payment and or financial technology tools
· Resolves problems, completes internal audits, identifies trends and recommends system
improvements and implement change
· Meets accounting and financial objectives through forecasting of requirements, scheduling of
expenditure, analysing variances and preparing variances and any special
reports.
· Works well with all teams to ensure that correct numbers are imputed in the system
· Maintains accounting controls by establishing accounting policies and procedures as well
as policies within the department that keeps the team on point
· Maintains financial security and values of the organization and keeps the information
strictly confidential
· Monitors revenue and expenses, coordinates the collection, consolidation and evaluation of
financial data, and preparing reports
· Keeps up to date with state laws and regulations of the industry
· Ensures that the finance and accounting team understands and upholds a code of ethics and
confidentiality
· Constant update on job knowledge by reading of professional publications, maintaining personal
networks and participation in professional network
· Any other duties as assigned
Education & Basic Qualification:
· A minimum of First Degree in Accounting in an accredited university
· 3+ years of working experience as an Accountant
· Experience in online payments, credits and fintech
· Must have the ability to manage/supervise
· Develop budgets, standards, processes, and policies for the warehouse
