DevOps Engineers aim to reduce the gap between software development and software operations. As a member of the DevOps Team, you will apply your technical knowledge to eliminate toil, increase agility in the software development life cycle, reduce organizational silos and adopt continuous feedback mechanisms.
Responsibilities
Elegantly write, maintain and productize scalable scripts, systems and programs to automate repetitive tasks
Use monitoring tools to identify, resolve and troubleshoot service issues
Build, design and maintain large scale distributed systems on-premise and on the cloud
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
Job Requirements
Linux system administration experience
Knowledge of networking (ping, traceroute, IP addressing and subnetting )
Has worked with one (or more) of the following: Ruby, Python
Has experience designing and implementing solutions to problems in a large scale distributed system
Ability to learn, consolidate and apply new technical knowledge quickly
Is excited about applying DevOps principles to a fast paced environment
Proficiency in English (for International applicants)
Nice to have:
Knowledge of configuration management systems (i.e. Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible)
Exposure to Kubernetes and Docker
Experience with major cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.)
