Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of local and continental dishes and pastries
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Ensure excellent presentation of dishes before they are served
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Qualification and Requirements:
Should have a minimum of 2-3 years working experience as a cook with a bar, restaurant or hotel
Having attended a catering school is a plus
Should be well-kempt and have a clean appearance.
Should have experience cooking a variety of local and continental dishes and pastries
Should be able to maintain a clean kitchen and take honest stock
