HFFG/UNFPA OUT OF SCHOOL PROJECT
TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE ENGAGEMENT OF A CONSULTANT
Hope for Future Generations (HFFG), an implementing partner for the UNFPA Out of School Project is looking to engage a consultant to review the Positive Living Toolkit developed by FHI360 to include current information on HIV and AIDS, TB and Reproductive Health and Rights for Young Persons Living with HIV. The updated document will be used as a manual for providing much needed information to ensure that young people living with HIV are well equipped to live fulfilled lives.
To this end, this ToR shall serve to guide the engagement and working relationship between HFFG and the consultant recruited to review the toolkit.
HFFG requests applications from qualified individuals to be engaged as a consultant.
Methodology/Scope of Work
Under the direct guidance and in communication with the HFFG Focal Point (s), the consultant will produce videos, poster and sticker concepts through the following tasks. The consultant is expected but not limited to carry out the following activities:
Review relevant documents, guidelines and national strategies (HIV, ADOLESCENT Health) to align key guiding principles and national direction for a relevant Positive Living Toolkit by consulting relevant national partners such as National AIDS Control Programme (NACP), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ghana AIDS Commission
Desktop review of existing tools used by other organizations in educating adolescent HIV positives on SRHR to inform updated Positive Living Tool Kit.
Consult with young people living with HIV to ensure that updated toolkit responds to their needs
Finalize the Positive Living Toolkit incorporating inputs and feedback of the consultation
Deliverables
Draft updated Positive toolkit for review by HFFG
Submission of final toolkit with all incorporated comments to HFFG.
The service provider will conduct and complete the above-noted tasks, within ten (10) working days within the period of June 2020.
Qualification and Experience
Should hold minimum qualification of a Master’s degree in relevant field and manual development
Should have communication and material development skills
Should have at least 3 years experience of carrying out similar works in the past
Minimum of 5 years of public health experience
Should possess good knowledge of HIV and AIDS and SRHR
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Experience/evidence in developing IEC or BCC materials (particularly in the area of HIV)
