Overview

Incumbent is responsible for daily oversight of the WISe Latino Program in Skagit County. Incumbent serves as Clinical Supervisor for clinicians in the WISe Latino Program Team in Skagit County. Incumbent supervises the direct service work of clinicians, providing regularly scheduled and as–needed clinical direction, guidance and troubleshooting, in consultation with WISe program leadership. Incumbent supervises clinical record-keeping (EMR) to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with policies and regulations. Incumbent assists program managers with operational duties as assigned.

Status:Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Starting Salary/Hourly Rate:$28.01 - $31.16/hr. DOE, plus excellent holiday / vacation / sick pay and health benefits!

Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Upholds and models the CCSWW Mission, Insights, Key Action Steps and Principles of Leadership.

Supervises, trains and reviews the performance of:
WISe Therapists
WISe Care Coordinators
Family Support Partners
Community Support Specialists
Peer Partner

Provides clinical supervision for staff:
Provides regularly scheduled individual clinical supervision and care coordination planning, including treatment and crisis/safety plans.
Assists clinicians in meeting requirements and deadlines related to clinical cases and/or documentation requirements, e.g. scheduled treatment reviews, submission of Critical Incident Reports, UR change requests, etc.
Participates in clinical staffing and team meetings in role as Clinical Supervisor.
Meets with teams and individuals on as needed basis to address urgent case related or program needs are met.
Ensures clinical documentation is accurate, meets all standards and is submitted timely.

Participates in the professional development and skill building of clinical staff:
Meets with staff members and assesses skills needed.
Provides skill building and oversight for documentation and training.

Provides advocacy liaison with formal professional agencies and informal services:
Assists as needed in convening and facilitating effective collaborations and child and family teams.
Represents Agency at selected community meetings.
Facilitates and mediates family and team member conflicts as needed.

Participates in daily operations management:
Maintains knowledge regarding programs and agency’s policies and procedures.
Stays updated regarding WACs, County Mental Health requirements and WISe Manual requirements.
Maintains awareness of services delivered by team; participates in program’s tracking activities to ensure clinical appropriateness of care and appropriate expenditure of resources for care.
Is familiar with and maintains first-hand knowledge of individualized tailored care and wraparound services and the guiding principles of strength-based, family-oriented services.
Participates in the selection process of hiring new staff.
Provides preliminary orientation and training of new staff.
Meets regularly with each individual team member to provide ongoing support and feedback to staff.
Provides mediation skills in employee conflict resolution.
Ensure direct supervisory input on staff performance evaluation before finalizing with staff.

Provides Support and Assists Clinical Management with Contract Compliance & Reporting:
Assist with program compliance with all licensing and contract requirements.
Assist with program operation and documentation complies with contracts, auditing and all other applicable standards.
Assist with the development and conducting ongoing program-auditing processes to ensure that program standards are maintained throughout the service area and across programs.
Assist with collecting, compiling and dispersal of all program reports as required.

Assists Program Manager in gate-keeping, scheduling and coordination of psychiatric resources, including prescriber's:
Assists with room scheduling and ensures appropriate order of treatment rooms.
Other operational duties as assigned.

Maintains minimal clinical case load and covers as needed:
Provides direct services to clients.
Administers CANS screens, as needed.
Completes all required documentation for client records and billing systems.
Maintains compliance with all appropriate WACs and mental health requirements.

Access to and protection of PHI:
Holds (primary) leadership role in creating a culture of privacy and security of Protected Health Information in HIPAA Covered Entity service area, including education of staff about their responsibilities for safeguarding privacy and security.
Authorizes level of staff access to PHI/ePHI to ensure staff can perform assigned job duties; regularly monitors access to ensure appropriate safeguarding of PHI/ePHI.

Other work-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

MINIMUM:
Master’s degree in social services or related field (Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Development, Behavioral Sciences, or equivalent accredited degree)
Fluently bi-lingual in Spanish and English.
Demonstrate the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations within the Latino community.
Experience serving Latino youth and/or families with mental health, social services, education, etc. needs
Fully licensed (not an Associate) with the WA Dept. of Health.
1-year supervisory experience or 2 years of progressive responsibilities in an intensive service program leading/coordinating/supporting direct service staff.
Meets, or has ability to meet, WA state training requirement for supervisors (15 hours of state required supervisory training).
Knowledge of evidence-based practices, including wraparound.
Has exhibited the qualities of leadership expected by CCS to lead and inspire a diverse workforce; qualities/skills may include coordination, facilitation, etc.
Strong experience and knowledge of strengths-based treatment approaches for children and families.
Strong facilitation and team building skills.
Reliable transportation, WA Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance.
Acceptable driving record (Driving Abstract-Full driving record required).

Criminal history background checks are required prior to employment.

PREFERRED:
Meets qualifications as a Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS) per WA State WAC.
2 years post-licensure experience in a relevant setting.
